I was so concerned for our horses as well as those we welcomed yesterday. Stall spaces were moved, which mean routine and schedules were changed. The familiar feel of their own space was disrupted... like moving your bed but sleeping in the same room. We had to do this to make room, find spaces ,to help. I know in a few days they will all settle back into another new routine, and remember where their new stalls are. For today, they will all get extra time and grooming to make this this transition just a little better. Or perhaps, to make me feel better.

These new horses will be ready for loving homes once they are throughly evaluated. Here are their intake photos .....

Volunteering at a barn that offers therapeutic horsemanship can be a fulfilling experience for various reasons. Volunteers not only get to work with horses but also assist individuals with disabilities in enhancing their physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities. Volunteering can also provide a sense of purpose and satisfaction, as well as opportunities to acquire new skills and establish meaningful connections with others in the community.
