At Hosanna Horse Haven, we are more than just a rescue. We are a sanctuary where abused and abandoned horses find a new purpose, and where people of all ages find healing, connection, and growth through our therapeutic programs. Our mission is to create opportunities for both horses and humans to thrive, offering a space for learning, compassion, and transformation. From therapeutic horsemanship sessions to community education and volunteer opportunities, we are dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and connection between humans and horses.

The Healing Power of Horses: Emotions, Energy, and Connection

Did you know that emotions carry vibrational frequencies? Science and energy work suggest that emotions like shame (20 Hz) and fear (100 Hz) vibrate at lower frequencies, while love (500 Hz) and joy (540 Hz) are much higher. These energy patterns don’t just affect us—they also impact the world around us, including our horses.

Horses, as highly intuitive and energetic beings, can sense these vibrations. Their ability to mirror and respond to human emotions is what makes them such powerful partners in healing. When a horse is around a person with stress, fear, or sadness, they may respond by grounding that energy, offering a calming presence, or even mirroring back what needs to be healed.

But healing isn’t one-sided—horses experience emotional shifts too. Many of the rescued and rehabilitated horses at Hosanna Horse Haven have carried their own trauma, often vibrating at lower frequencies due to neglect or mistreatment. Through gentle connection, trust-building, and positive emotional experiences, their energy begins to shift. Just as they help us move from fear to courage, sadness to joy, we help them move from distrust to peace.

How We Use Vibrational Healing at H³

At Hosanna Horse Haven (H³), we focus on creating safe, heart-centered spaces where both humans and horses can shift into higher vibrational states through:
✨ Mindful Horsemanship – Tuning into our own energy and emotions to create calm, connected interactions.
✨ Grounding Exercises – Walking, breathing, and moving with a horse to stabilize both human and horse energy.
✨ Emotional Awareness – Recognizing where emotions live in the body and how horses reflect them back to us.
✨ Healing Through Connection – As we raise our vibrations through love, peace, and trust, our horses heal alongside us.

Last week’s flooding was tough, but if there’s a silver lining, it’s that our arena is now in tip-top shape and ready for all our lessons this week! A HUGE thank you to Weber Sand and Gravel for their incredible discount on the sand—it made all the difference in getting our footing just right.

Our students wear helmets every day as part of PATH International safety standards, which ensure that all equine-assisted activities prioritize safety and well-being. Helmets protect riders from potential falls and accidents, making them an essential part of every session.

For those who don’t know, Horse Powered Reading helps kids develop reading skills while working with horses through fun, hands-on activities. It’s a unique way to engage the brain, body, and emotions in the learning process, and I can’t wait to bring it to life!

Today’s #SelfCareSaturday in our 8 Dimensions of Wellness class was all about nutrition! 🥕🍏 We explored what healthy eating looks like for both horses and humans. The kids had a blast, and so did our equine friends as they sampled different foods! 🐴🥗 It was a fun and insightful lesson on making mindful choices for our health—inside and out.
